Ticket prices to visit Windsor Castle, as at May 2014:
* For an adult: £20.00
* For over 60, or Student: £18.20p
* For under 17s £11.70p

Opening times for Windsor Castle:
* March to October, Monday-Sunday: 09:45-17:15 (last admission 16:00)
* November to February, Mon-Sun: 09:45-16:15 (last admission 15:00)

How to get to Windsor Castle

Train: 43 minutes away. It’s only £4.60 (as at May 2014) for an Off Peak Return ticket, travelling after 9.30 AM, to Windsor from West Drayton station. You can pay by card for the ticket at the Ticket Office in the station.

Car: 17 drive: take the M4 towards Reading and leave motorway at J6/ Slough Central. Follow A332 to Windsor and turn left towards Windsor Town Centre. Turn right at the roundabout at the end of Arthur Road & park in the King Edward VII Court Multi-Storey Car Park. By cab needing a normal car using our local firm LHR will cost approx £18.

By train from Oakwood B&B to Windsor & Eton Central, for Windsor Castle: 25-30 minutes

1. Walk to West Drayton Station, 5 minutes’ walk away, and take the train towards Oxford and change at Slough, 3 stops away
2. Buy the £4.60 Off-Peak Return journey from the Train Ticket Office, you can pay by card.
3. Take the train from Slough to Windsor & Eton Central station, which is 1 stop, and only 6 minutes away
4. At Windsor & Eton Central, it’s a 5 minute walk to Windsor Castle

On foot to West Drayton station, only 6 minutes’ walk away:

Bus: Take the U3 Bus from opposite Burger King in West Drayton to Heathrow Central Bus Station; then from Stand 5 at, you can take a First Beeline Bus No 77 directly to Peascod Street in Windsor. 2 buses run from Heathrow every hour Mon – Sat.

There are many very nice Pubs and Restaurants in Windsor to eat and drink at, as well as some fabulous shops….

Eton:
Be sure to save enough time to walk down the hill from the Castle, cross the pedestrian bridge over the River Thames into Eton, and browse around the lovely Pubs and Antique shops in Eton High Street.
